Editing 2 - Niki

When researching music for our final piece, we had to ensure we did not use any music that was copyrighted or not licensed. This was difficult due to many websites we found wanting either money or being licensed. However, after looking through websites and dfferent sites, we managed to find a website that various tracks that we could choose to use in our final piece.
The website was called: www.freeaplaymusic.com. The website has various different genres of music to choose from. Kim found that on the dark dimensions volume, there were many tracks that would be suitable for our opening sequence. The track, 'The Platform' is described as a track including 'slow-building strings are punctuated with powerful timpani. Ominous pauses and slow swells of strings serve to create a tense and dark atmosphere.' Our opening sequence is created in a way to have a dark atmosphere and eerie side to it. Finding music for our sequence was challenging but when we included it into our final piece, the overall piece seemed much better.

For the flashback clips in our sequence, I found a piece of music on this website. It is called ' The Deep' and has a eerie piano that drifts in and out. This adds to the effect of the flashback clips and the young girl breaking down. It also adds an effect to the genre we are trying to put across and add a more ghostly and mysterious vibe to the opening sequence.
